Position Summary

Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine Office of Medical Education Research and Development (OMERAD) is seeking a Fixed Term Ast Instructor/Instructor/Assistant Professor with an MD or DO degree; five years related work experience in medical education or other health professions education; advanced professional knowledge of clinically-oriented content and strategies pertaining to the United States Medical Licensing Exams; experience training and mentoring medical students; and, proven interpersonal and communications skills.

We are searching for a faculty member who has proven ability to collaborate with teams of faculty and staff to create innovative learning and management strategies. The position will collaborate with CHM’s Academic Achievement team to provide high-level faculty leadership and subject matter expertise to transition to a structure that supports student success in the Shared Discovery Curriculum. We are looking for a highly skilled faculty member with experience in coaching medical students as they prepare for their national certifying exams.

This position runs from October 15, 2017 to August 15, 2018. Salary and rank will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The candidate should provide evidence of promise in administrative leadership, research, teaching and service and a commitment to collaboration in these areas.

Minimum Requirements
