Performs a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of a function, program, and/or dept; assists in program planning & development; interpret, monitor, & analyze information regarding operating policies & procedures; administers budgets & coordinate academic and/or staff personnel matters.

Position is responsible to identify, screen, hire, manage and evaluate up to 50 KSU Temporary Instructors. Vetting process to include conducting interviews, reviewing resumes and evaluating instructor showcases. Review Instructor evaluations throughout course offerings and audit courses to ensure quality programs. Counsel instructors as needed regarding teaching methodology and areas where content or teaching may be improved. Approve instructional contracts quarterly and approve payments for instructor upon course closeout. Responsible for terminating instructors who do not meet our standards of excellence. Position is responsible for annual performance evaluations of staff and any disciplinary actions that relate to Staff/Student support.

Conduct environmental scanning to determine current and future course needs by using industry standard reports from Department of Labor, Atlanta Regional Commission, Cobb Chamber, etc. Determine program scope, instructor selection, curriculum development, budget development, syllabus, determine any capital investment needs, identify credentialing body, evaluate textbook options; identify competition and target market; establish grading rubric, PowerPoints, test banks, and handouts. Prepare documents for application to credentialing bodies. Assess offsite locations for externships, apprenticeships, and alternate course delivery locations. Meet with Manager of Finance to establish contracts for offsite delivery and insurance for students as required. Determine if course may be eligible for military or workforce investment funding opportunities. Perform continuous evaluation of active courses to ensure relevant quality programs.

Partner with Director of Marketing on quarterly basis to determine a plan and budget necessary to market individual course offerings. Conduct program specific webinars to promote programs and field questions from potential students. Conduct opening informational sessions for all programs at bi-annual career expo. Monitor course enrollments and determine additional marketing needs if enrollment goals are not met. Evaluate ROI for marketing budget to determine future course of action. Identify potential student success stories to be used for future marketing of programs. Identify target markets to promote programs and determine resources available in each industry.

Responsible for positive revenue generation to support departmental expenses. Annual budget for programs total up to $1 million and may include Foundation and Endowment accounts. Responsible for approving all expenses related to their programming area. Prepare budget forecasts for fiscal year and meet monthly with Dean and Manager of Finance to evaluate progress towards financial goals. Responsible for increasing revenue each Fiscal Year by a determined amount to meet growth projections that are set by the Dean and the Executive Leadership Team.

Position should be viewed as an educational resource and leader in the programming areas they manage. Will hold memberships in relevant organizations that properly align with programming needs. Present and attend at local and national conferences related to continuing education and area of specialization. Position is expected to connect and participate with industry leaders on social media outlets to stay current with industry trends and promote programs. Responsible for networking at local business meetings and off site events to establish relationships within the community. Will serve as an active member of the Strategic Planning team and will be required to present information on a monthly basis to the Executive Leadership Team on their progress toward financial goals. Responsible for managing complex student issues and assessing if exceptions to CCPE policies should be granted.

This position will require some evening work to start classes, conduct instructor observations, and attend events that are hosted by CCPE.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and 7 years of related experience OR a High School diploma and 3 years of college coursework and 8 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 11 years.
