Job Description

Summary

Perform varied and increasingly responsible general accounting tasks and general oversight of accounting team.

ABSOLUTE MUST HAVES:

Need to have dealt with outside auditors

STRONG experience in inventory and some manufacturing

AR management

Staff development

STRONG Excel skills ( Pivot Tables, v-lookups, if-then)

Responsibilities

  • Monthly and Annual Closing - Maintain monthly and annual books (Physical and Electronic).
  • Manage Account Receivables - Booking, Reconciliation and Collection.
  • Position reports directly to CFO
  • Manage Inventory - Booking, Reconciliation and Physical Inventory.
  • Manage and administer bank credit facility - Booking, Reconciling and Reporting
  • Oversee Account Payables - Manage Staff, Reconciliation and payment.
  • Oversee Billing process.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset, Prepay and Accrual Schedules.
  • Maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers.
  • Prepare month end supporting schedules and perform related account analysis.
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Daily Intercompany accounts reconciliation.
  • Cash management and treasury duties.
  • Bank reconciliations and research discrepancies.
  • Inventory Capitalization.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.; prepare bank deposits.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries.
  • Organize a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail.
  • Maintain a departmental procedure manual.
  • Liaise with bank and outside auditors.
  • Liaise with bank inventory valuator.
  • May perform various other duties, tasks and activities requiring similar levels of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requirements
  • BS Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Controller experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Public accounting skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international wire transfers a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills, including V-lookup and Pivot Tables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Word and Outlook.
  • CPA, a plus.
