The University Writing Program (UWP) at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for the position of Lecturer to begin August 16, 2018. The position is a nine-month, non-tenure accruing appointment with the possibility of renewal and an opportunity for advancement in UF’s lecturer track. The UWP is a thriving program offering a wide range of writing-intensive courses in areas such as themed critical thinking and writing, writing in the disciplines, and professional writing. Successful candidates will also offer evidence of a strong interest in experiential learning, such as directing internships, leading study abroad courses, or perusing community-based outreach. The teaching assignment is 4/3 with possible course release for the development of significant experiential learning initiatives.

A Ph.D. is required with an emphasis in rhetoric and composition preferred. Experience teaching professional or discipline-specific writing and a documented record of excellent teaching is required.Preferred Qualifications:
