This position is responsible for working with faculty and staff to develop and maintain electronic and online instructional materials, support various instructional technologies, advise on pedagogy, and implement national standards in distance education. Develop and provide professional development and orientations for faculty/staff/students using the Office of Extended supported technologies. Provide administration support and technical troubleshooting for various Center for elearning supported technologies including; the Learning Management System, Web Conferencing System, video distribution system, and various other supported systems. Provide guidance, assistance, and troubleshooting (both technical and non-technical) to faculty/staff/students who are using various supported technologies.

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum one year of instructional design experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Curricular Design strong preferred.
  • 3 or more years professional experience in instructional design.

Essential Duties:

Present and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instructional delivery options.

Develop instructional materials and products for technology-based redesign of courses.

Design learning products, including web-based aids or electronic performance support systems.

Provide analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.

Lead professional development opportunities for faculty, students, and administrators.

Provide on-demand support for systems supported by the unit.
