Nature of Work

The College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA) seeks qualified applicants for the Part-time Faculty- History position. This is a part-time teaching position within the School of Arts and Sciences. Part-time faculty members are assigned classes on an as-needed basis.

Essential Duties

Successful candidates will teach sections of US History I and/or US History II at the Brunswick or Camden campus. Sections of World Civilization I and II may be offered as needed. Instructors are required to maintain reasonable office hours and comply with policies and regulations set forth by CCGA and the University System of Georgia.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in History or a Master’s degree + eighteen semester hours at the graduate level in the subject area to be taught as of the anticipated start date of the position.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Applicants who demonstrate evidence of recent, successful post-secondary teaching experience are preferred. All candidates who can teach survey
