A Laboratory Technician is needed to assist with research focused on understanding sex differences in the regulation of fluid and energy homeostatis. Main responsibilities include running experimental protocols, including performing rodent surgeries and molecular assays (under the direction of the PhD investigator). Other duties will include general lab maintenance, assisting others with animal care, assisting with the technical training of students, and attending lab meetings.

Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time; lifting and/or walking with light-weight objects.
Monday-Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; and occasional evenings and weekends.
Dependability, attention to detail, efficient, excellent organizational skills, accuracy in record keeping, and knowledge of rodent care techniques
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
Bachelor's (or Master's) degree and rodent handling experience preferred.
