Part-Time Instructor English
Nature of Work
The Department of Arts and Humanities, which is housed within the School of Arts and Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part Time Instructor of English. Part-time faculty teach on an as needed basis and will work in the School of Arts and Sciences.
The successful candidate will teach English support, English Composition courses and World Literature courses contingent to the needs of the institution.
Other essential duties include:
Maintain office hours.
Prepare lesson plans, lectures, transparencies, course overviews, and outlines as needed.
Prepare tests, quizzes, final grades, grade reports, and attendance reports.
Minimum Qualifications and Training
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in English or a Master’s degree + eighteen semester hours at the graduate level in English. Requirements must be met.
Preferred Qualifications and Training
Applicants who demonstrate evidence of recent, successful post-secondary teaching experience would be preferred.
