PartTime Faculty - Teacher Education
Nature of Work
The Department of Education and Teacher Preparation seeks dynamic applicants who are interested in working with teacher education faculty as part time instructors in an innovative teacher preparation program at the College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA). Part time faculty members are assigned classes and/or supervision an as-needed basis.
Qualified candidates may teach courses in educational foundations, special education, elementary or middle grades, secondary pedagogy, and/or provide supervision of teacher candidates in the field with practicum seminars.
Minimum Qualifications and Training
Qualifications include education professional with a terminal degree or a Master’s degree with significant professional experience in early childhood education, middle grades education, special education, physical education or educational foundations with recent teaching experience and/or administrative experience in the public schools and/or at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications and Training
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate expertise working cooperatively with others, possess supervisory experience, exhibit a commitment to student learning and teacher candidate success, and have a working knowledge of standards based instruction and assessment.
