Position Summary
To assist the Marketing & Communications department in daily tasks and execution of effective marketing campaigns and tactics to achieve the College's Key Results.

Duties & Responsibilities
Support the Marketing & Communications department in the coordination, creation, and execution of marketing, communications, and advertising initiatives and campaigns.

Actively participate in brainstorming discussions with other members of the marketing team to help generate campaign strategies and tactics for new marketing and recruitment activities.

Assist in writing and executing tasks including social media posts, digital monitors, marquee signs, press releases, and web copy ensuring incorporation of Mid-State marketing messages and branding.

Graphic design support requests from other departments to refresh, redesign or development of marketing collateral.

Participate in team activities to identify problems and improve work processes and systems. Make process improvement recommendations as necessary.

Review and proof materials produced by the department.

Provide back up for marketing team members in meetings, committees and other forums as needed.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.

Monitor and update projects within the project management software, perform necessary reports and track due dates.

Utilize established project processes and platforms to track project deliverables, obtain appropriate approvals, provide updates to individual departments, and maintain timelines.

Prepare Marketing & Communication invoices for approval and assist in creating and maintaining budget reporting for the department, including recording expenses.

Support department with tasks such as merchandise quote requests and approvals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field. Combination of education and related experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree will be considered.

Previous experience working with marketing, communications, public relations, and/or advertising departments preferred.

Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
