The three Technical Analysts in the Enrollment Division provide IT and collateral support to seven other departments in Enrollment as well as the Office of the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Enrollment.
Operating with the mindset of sustainable process improvement and strategic vision, the Technical Analyst (1) envisions, designs, develops, tests and implements business practices utilizing technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Enrollment Division; (2) leverages new and existing system functionality (e.g., Ellucian-Banner, Hyland-OnBase, Perceptive-DataTransfer 6, Technolutions-Slate CRM) to support Division goals; and (3) oversees the daily operations of the Banner, OnBase, DataTransfer 6, Slate and related IT systems.
This position will be responsible for:
—Overseeing daily operations of Ellucian/Banner and related IT systems.
—Leading Banner upgrades/releases (approximately 1 per month) by evaluating release notes and upgrade guides, assessing impact on office operations regarding procedural changes and training. Leading the operational testing teams. Serving as liaison to OIT for Banner and auxiliary applications.
—Analyzing business processes, investigating/testing technology and design process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Division. Leading process improvement teams.
—Overseeing/Managing updates to Banner tables as they relate to the Enrollment Division.
—Developing queries/reports using Banner, Business Objects, Visual Basic, and PLSQL to access system data.
—Overseeing the DSS as it relates to Division hardware and software needs.
—Serving as the data access steward in granting access to systems for staff and collaborating University staff. Serving as the division lead for the University's SSN remediation team.
—Representing the Enrollment Division at OIT leadership meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4 - 6 years of work experience.
- Fluency in PLSQL, VBA for MS Excel and Access, Hotkey, and Business Objects (or other applicable applications).
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to make complex decisions.
- Ability to work in a highly automated environment with changing technology.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Willingness to work additional time to meet goals.
- High degree of motivation and initiative. (#LI-POST)
- Experience in higher education Enrollment Management is a plus.
- Experience in CommonApp, Profile, and IDOC is helpful.
- Experience in developing and executing system test plans is preferred.
