Information Technology Services
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, or modifies computer hardware, multimedia equipment, and related devices. Initiates routine diagnostic to determine cause of equipment failure and follows standard procedures for problem resolution. Installs and customizes application software.
Trains users on basic computer functions, software, or multimedia equipment to facilitate and enhance their work experience.
Serves as principle point of contact to answer inquiries and serves as a liaison between end users and the appropriate ITS area or University department able to provide problem resolution, within defined turnaround time.
Maintains appropriate information relating to workstation configurations, replacement cycle, and planning.
Performs other duties as assigned. This Position will drive a State Vehicle or Golf Cart on/off Campus to FSU Department Locations to perform diagnostics, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or modifications to Users hardware or equipment, as well as provide User training on computer functions, software, etc. Regular scheduled work hours are variable between 7:30am-9:30pm Monday- Friday.
Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.
High school diploma or equivalency and two years’ experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Florida/Georgia driver's license.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to document existing and new processes.
Ability to effectively train and direct the work of others.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to utilize problem solving skills
Ability to utilize technical skills.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support.
Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.
Proficient skills in multimedia and instructional course software.
Knowledge of computer operations, functions, and related peripherals
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair a variety of equipment and machinery used in area of work.
Anticipated Salary Range
Negotiable based upon experience.
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Criminal Background Check
