Student Services Associate I
Responsible for various areas of student success either in Admissions, Career Services, Financial Aid, etc.; can recruit freshmen and transfer students from high schools & community colleges; makes presentations to student groups; counsels students and parents regarding the admissions process OR coordinate campus scholarships; manage programs for students receiving financial aid; process, track, monitor all institutional scholarships; provide financial aid counseling OR be responsible for recruitment, marketing and customer service for KSU Graduate Programs, etc.
The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director of Financial Aid over the Processing Unit. This individual should have a working knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations as they apply to financial aid within the State of Georgia. The individual will assist with complex matters related to the processing of Title IV funds and the HOPE Scholarship.
The successful candidate will work within a team of individuals who have very specific duties that may vary within the academic year. This individual will manage data, understand reports, disseminate information correctly through complex databases within the University, with the US Dept. of ED, and with the State of Georgia, assist with the development of reports, correspondence and spreadsheets, adapt to changes that occur often with financial aid programs as they relate to processing needs, and exemplify the ability to be trained and retain information correctly and appropriately.
Flexibility, being detailing-oriented, ability to work within very defined deadlines, ability to multi-task, and the ability to recognize needs and concerns as they relate to the proper processing of financial aid is of utmost importance.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and related experience.
Desired Qualifications: A working-knowledge of federal and state regulations as they apply to financial aid within the State of Georgia is preferred. A working-knowledge of Ellucian-Banner is preferred. Working within a professional financial aid office for 2 -3 years is a preferred quality.
Working with a team of individuals who perform processing needs in a very complex manner, who work within very defined deadlines, who demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated and exemplify exceptional time management skills, and understand the complexities of data management are preferred qualities.
