Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Program Manager will be responsible for development, direction and management of assigned Center programs. The Program Manager will develop and oversee training and educational material for Center programs, and will leverage other programs within the University and the SOM as able. Other duties will include assistance with both pre- and post-award grant activities for the Center to include development, implementation and administration of the pilot grant program and the Emerging Scholars fellowship program, as the Center is launched. Other key duties will include development and support of investigator engagement programs, establishment of investigator support for grant submission, oversight and management of activities requiring biostatistical contract support, promoting and advancing Center programs to facilitate research education and mentoring. The Program Manager will report to the Director of the Research Center for Transforming Health.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree in related field and 2 years relevant program experience, or bachelor's degree and 4 years relevant program experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience communicating with audiences across the learning spectrum (new learners to senior experienced individuals); experience with program development, management or education of learners, preferably in the health sciences; experience with development of reports or dashboards. Experience with professional scientific publications, posters and other dissemination of information, either as an author or in a support role. Experience with grant submission, grant management and reporting. Experience with support for multi-site clinical research and technology tools to support research, including REDCap.


Proficient with MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel, data base management, web conferencing.
