Position Title: Respiratory Care Instructor

Salary: 44,703

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include: a valid New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license, an Associate in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Care AND a baccalaureate degree in respiratory care or a related field, a minimum of four (4) years of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist including adult and neonatal or pediatric critical care, a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in an accredited respiratory program as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor, AND current Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials. Travel to off-campus clinical sites is required. Applicants must currently possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license at the time of hire and maintain a valid driver's license throughout the duration of the appointment.

Preferred qualifications include: a Master's degree in Respiratory Care or a related field, Advanced Cardiac Life Support. (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) credentials preferred. Knowledge of accreditation processes is a plus.


Duties:

This full-time, ten-month tenure track faculty position is in MVCC's Department for Health Professions. Responsibilities include teaching classroom and clinical sessions in a CoARC accredited, associate degree
program.
