The Department of Pediatrics' Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Virginia and University of Virginia Children's Hospital seeks candidates for a full-time (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor), tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible pediatrician. Salary, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience. Tenure-ineligible positions may qualify to convert to tenure-eligible at an appropriate time in the future, consistent with the School of Medicine Promotion and Tenure guidelines and candidate qualifications.
Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be board-certified in pediatrics. The incumbent will see patients and mentor trainees in a variety of clinical settings that could include our general pediatric ambulatory, complex care, Newborn and Breastfeeding Medicine, and/or Pediatric Hospital Medicine services. All division members share call and weekend/holiday coverage of the general pediatric services. The position requires excellent clinical and teaching skills and experience necessary to precept residents and medical students. There are also exciting opportunities in the Division's growing research, advocacy, and quality improvement activities.

The Division of General Pediatrics is currently comprised of 32 full and part-time pediatricians. The Division has outstanding collaborative working relationships with other pediatric subspecialists, our surgical colleagues and our colleagues in adult medicine.
