The Internal Audit Department supports the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees Audit and Fiscal Responsibility Committee by providing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the University's governance, risk assessment and internal control processes. The Department has a proven track record for developing future finance and audit leaders in the education, healthcare and non-profit industries, and state government.

Summary of Job Duties

The Project Manager's duties include: assisting the Chief Audit Executive in ensuring the information provided to the Board of Trustees Audit and Fiscal Responsibility Committee is accurate and free from errors; drafting the minutes of the committee's meetings; drafting the department's follow-up reports to the Board; maintaining the department's ongoing risk assessment documentation; providing fraud hotline communications to the university's senior administration; performing contract administration and maintaining vendor relations; performing purchasing and accounts payable for the Internal Audit and reconciling the department's account; and preparing other operational reports for the department.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, communication, or other business related degree from an accredited university
  • At least five years of experience working with an organization's senior administration and preparing reports for the organization's Board
