Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Vascular Surgery
The Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Florida is currently recruiting a peripheral vascular surgeon to join the faculty and work at the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona, Florida. The Medical Center is a 678-bed hospital that offers the full range of medical services, including a Level II Trauma Center and Transplant Program. The facilities at the Medical Center are ”state of the art” and include three dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms with a hybrid endovascular suite. The vascular surgeon will join a current vascular surgeon and a group of two University of Florida cardiothoracic surgeons with whom the surgeon will share call and practice responsibilities.
Although the vascular surgeon will practice primarily at the Halifax Medical Center, he or she will be a full-time employee of the University of Florida College of Medicine and a member of the Division of Vascular Surgery. It is anticipated that the vascular surgeon will participate in the Division’s educational conferences and quality improvement efforts as part of the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI).
This will be a faculty appointment on the clinical track and may include numerous academic and research opportunities within the Division. It is expected that applicants will have a broad skillset that encompasses both open and endovascular procedures. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in vascular surgery. The salary and benefits are competitive and will include a productivity-based incentive model along with malpractice coverage through the College of Medicine.Advertised Salary:
