Dutchess Community College seeks an experienced Multimedia Content Producer to support marketing, communications and public relations initiatives in areas including recruitment, retention and community engagement. Under general supervision of the Director of Communications and Public Relations, the Multimedia Content Producer is responsible for generating informational and promotional web/video/social media/print and other content, using emerging tools to meet the diverse communications needs of the college. The incumbent will support efforts to strategically align the college's communication efforts across all platforms, producing engaging content that adheres to the Dutchess Community College brand and raises the institution's profile locally, as well as throughout the state and country.

The Multimedia Content Producer will identify opportunities to engage constituents with compelling content and produce strategically aligned print, digital and video materials that support the College's vision, mission, values and goals. These efforts to enhance the College's visibility will generate increased engagement with the institution, especially on social media and the website, and will support recruitment and retention initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Demonstrated experience in communicating across all platforms to support and advance an organization's, institution's or business' marketing, public relations and communications goals. Thorough knowledge of best practices in social media for business (including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter), messaging integration and analytics. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Premiere and Photoshop; familiarity with InDesign; ability to write engaging and compelling copy for digital and print; passion for finding and telling stories that reflect the DCC brand; and ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni and other constituents. Must be highly experienced in producing quality videos, typically 1 - 15 minutes in length. As member of the Communications and Public Relations team, the Multimedia Content Producer will assist with events, still photography and other responsibilities. Incumbent will be a creative, detail-oriented problem-solver who enjoys opportunity and challenge. Some evenings and weekends required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and at least three years of relevant professional experience required; higher education experience preferred. Candidates will be required to furnish writing, social media management and video production samples.
