Adjunct Position in Adult Studies Education: K-12 Spanish Methods
Trinity Christian College is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach K-12 Spanish Methods in the Adult Studies Education Department.
Master’s degree or higher in Spanish is required. Must speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish, and be licensed to teach Spanish in the state of Illinois. Experience must include instruction in advance level Spanish in secondary high school. Experience at the college level preferred. The candidate must also be able to work with adult students independently in a collaborative setting.
Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning.
AEDU 326 Teaching Spanish (6) – This course involves study, discussion, and application of theories, methods, and techniques of teaching Spanish in grades K-12. Specific topics include instructional strategies, objectives and planning, content and organization, methods of instruction, curriculum trends, teaching aids, and assessment.
