Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job: The Political Science Department at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in public administration beginning in Fall 2018. The position requires teaching online MPA level courses. Specialization in disasters and emergency management is required, as is the ability to teach budgeting/finance and research methods. Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show a strong potential for a productive scholarly program. The teaching load for this position will be 3/3. The successful candidate will be expected to hold regular on-campus office hours and participate in program, department, and university activities.

Educational Requirements for the Position: A Ph.D. in political science, government, politics, public administration, public affairs, or public policy is required. ABD will be considered but must have a Ph.D. by the start date (August 2018).
