Assistant Professor of Political Science

Department of Political Science and International Affairs

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science faculty position in the Department of Political Science and International Affairs, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Position Responsibilities:

A commitment to excellence in teaching complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in KSU's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

Courses include American political institutions & political behavior such as:

  • Congress,
  • The Presidency,
  • Political Parties,
  • Interest Groups,
  • Polling and Survey Techniques, and
  • Campaigns and Elections.
  • Research methods are especially needed.

Required Education, qualifications, and experience:

A Ph.D. in Political Science, or related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required by time of hire, as well as a record of effective university teaching and demonstrated potential for research. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.
