Posting Summary:
The School of Medicine's Clinical Trials Office seeks a Clinical Research Budget and Billing Coordinator. Clinical Research Coordinators perform a full range of clinical research duties and have an advanced knowledge of the clinical research process and the regulations that govern it. One critical step of the research process is to develop accurate billing coverage analyses and budgets for human subject research. This position provides the study teams with the information they need to maximize consistent, accurate and regulatory-compliant clinical trial budgets. It also provides clinical research study teams with the information they need to assure that charges are being appropriately directed, consistent with all regulatory requirements. The position also provides training in clinical trial billing processes and regulations as they apply to the overall research process. The position also monitors clinical research billing performance and recommends corrective action to address and deficiencies.

This position can be filled at either the Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed level or a Clinical Research Coordinator Intermediate, Non-Licensed level, depending on qualifications.

For Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or higher as well as 2 years of professional work experience. 2 years clinical research experience preferred.

For Clinical Research Coordinator Intermediate, Non-Licensed: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or higher as well as at least four years of relevant/related research experience.

Qualified applicants must strong oral and written communication skills; a high level of independence, self-motivation, attention to detail and creativity, but also demonstrated ability to work as a team member; ability to multitask; and the ability to work and maintain confidentiality of patient account data.

Clinical trial billing and/or auditing experience is preferred.

This position is restricted an dependent on continued funding.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to work and maintain confidentiality of patient account data.
