Posting Summary:
The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia seeks qualified applicants to teach for the English as a Second Language online course series.

Courses are taught in fall, spring, and summer terms. Fall and spring courses run for 14 weeks. Summer courses are more intensive and run for six weeks. Courses are asynchronous and include master's level instruction in ESL assessment and curriculum design, second language acquisition and teaching methods, multicultural education, and linguistics. Syllabi and modules for the courses are designed by the program.

A terminal degree in English as a Second Language, English education, linguistics, multicultural education, or a related field is required. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Previous preK-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
