The UVA Bookstore is looking for a positive, professional, and energetic Customer Service Lead who enjoys interacting with people. To be successful in this position, the Customer Service Lead must be able to retain an extensive amount of information in order to communicate accurately and effectively to customers, be able to multi-task in a fast paced retail environment, possess general retail experience, have strong computer skills, be highly organized, have excellent time management skills, and be able to work under minimal supervision.

Weekends are required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Pleasant and comfortable working with the public. Accurate, thorough, and posses strong communication and math skills.
Ability to provide customer service is necessary. Knowledge of cash handling.
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Judgment and Decision Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
