Posting Summary:
The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia seeks a dynamic, engaging recruitment professional to lead outreach efforts for UVA's unique, executive-format Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology. Based in Richmond or Charlottesville, VA, the Assistant Director will be responsible for attracting and recruiting qualified, experienced business and IT professionals for matriculation into the M.S. in MIT program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing targeted outreach communications, including ongoing, active management of social media channel presence; planning and leading recruitment events; and cultivating relationships with current students, key alumni, prospective corporate sponsors and related professional organizations. The Assistant Director will respond to inquiries, counsel, advise and interview prospective students, and effectively involve important stakeholders (students/alumni/faculty) in the recruitment process.

Occasional weekend and evening hours required, with some scheduling flexibility. Primary responsibility for MS in MIT recruiting efforts in central and southern Virginia, and North Carolina. Some travel in support of other program initiatives may be required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Recruiting experience and strong interpersonal skills needed for success. 'Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate well to the career and educational needs of mid-career business and technology professionals required.
Ability to work independently and with a team, technology proficiency, outstanding customer service, strong organizational/budgeting skills and commitment to diversity are essential.
Some flexibility for travel throughout the mid-Atlantic region, with occasional evenings/Saturdays as necessary for recruitment events.
