Occupational Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated person for this position in Neurology. We use a highly diverse range of tools in both in vitro and in vivo systems to study neurodegeneration. The candidate must be flexible and willing to function is a fast-paced environment. Must be able to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities and learn new skills. Must be detail-oriented and well-organized with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Work Performed
  • Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in research laboratory tests, experiments and determinations to obtain data for research purposes; compile, analyze, document and draw tentative conclusions from experimental results.
  • Confer with principal investigator to review work assignments and develop plans for research experiments.
  • Prepare and maintain cell line and primary neuronal cultures Molecular biological techniques, including DNA and RNA isolation, PCR Protein biochemical methods including SDS-PAGE, western blot analysis, histological techniques and microscopy.
  • Prepare culture media, chemical, reagents and solutions
