About the College/Department
The Electrical Engineering Department is one of eight departments in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas. The department will provide the education necessary to establish a foundation for Electrical Engineers at all degree levels. The diverse faculty and staff of the department play an integral role in this education experience.

Summary of Job Duties
This position is a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position includes teaching, research, and service in the Electrical Engineering Department. This position will conduct research leading to scholarly publications write proposals to obtain external funding, establish an excellent research program supported by external funding, develop graduate and undergraduate courses, provide curriculum material, construct syllabi, provide classroom instruction, write and administer exams, prepare and evaluate students, mentor students, serve on various faculty and student-oriented committees, exhibit participation and leadership in related professional societies, and participate in the faculty decision-making for the Department of Electrical Engineering.

- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required conferred by the start of employment
- Must present an excellent track record in scholarship and sustained external funding and be able to provide evidence of high scholarly productivity through publication and service, as well as excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Experience teaching in the field of Electrical Engineering in an accredited, higher education environment
- Specialization in the following areas: analog, mixed-signal and power integrated circuit design, in particular ICs based on wide bandgap materials such as GaN and SiC, with an interest in power electronics applications such as power-supply-on-chip or power-supply-in-package; and power packaging such as wide bandgap device and module packaging involving electrical and thermal design, implementation, additive manufacturing and reliability evaluation
