Modern Languages and Literatures-Spanish (Assistant Professor) - College of Liberal Arts and Science

Required Qualifications and Education:
Ph.D. in Spanish with experience teaching Spanish language, familiarity with ACTFL standards, and specialization in Second Language Acquisition. Ph.D. in hand preferred, but ABD candidates with a completion date of August 31, 2018 may be considered for hire at the instructor level. Native or near-native fluency required in Spanish and English. 

Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Focus on second language literacies or writing a plus.

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach all levels of Spanish language courses and will contribute actively to the Spanish Secondary and Elementary Education programs. Scholarly and professional activity expected, university and department service also required. Must demonstrate a commitment to a balance among undergraduate teaching, scholarship, and service.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Department/Division: Modern Languages and Literatures.

Campus: Allendale
