Online Adjunct Faculty Opportunities

Tallahassee Community College announces opportunities for the following for the 2017-18 academic year.

TCC offers a wide variety of courses in online format.  We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach online classes for several different divisions for the College.  Positions will be filled on an as needed basis and qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department.  Under the general supervision of the discipline Division Dean, adjuncts will teach online courses in accordance with course descriptions and outlines.

 

We are currently seeking online adjuncts for the following positions:

BUSINESS/ACCOUNTING: 

Requires a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in any combination of the following subject areas: accounting, business, business administration, finance, hospitality management, human resources, international business, marketing, management or tourism.  Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of two years’ work related experience and strong communication and organizational skills.

ECONOMICS:

Requires a Master’s degree in Economics, or a Master’s degree in a closely related area with at least 18 graduate hours in economics.

ASTRONOMY:

Requires a Master’s degree in Astronomy or Physics or related area of study, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Astronomy and/or Physics.

BIOLOGY:

Requires a Master’s degree in a Biological Science or a related/applied subfield, or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a Biological Science or a related/applied subfield.

CHEMISTRY:

Requires a Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related/applied subfield, or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours Chemistry or a related/applied subfield.

EARTH SCIENCE: 

Requires a Master's degree with a major in geology, oceanography, meteorology, environmental sciences or earth science or 18 graduate semester hours in geology, oceanography, meteorology, physical geography, environmental sciences or earth science + Master's degree.

MATHEMATICS: 

Requires a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Master’s degree in a closely related area with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics.

ENGLISH:

Requires a Master’s degree in English, literature, or creative writing or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours English, Literature, Creative Writing or a combination of 18 graduate semester hours in these areas.

HUMANITIES:

Requires a Master’s degree in humanities, literature, philosophy, religion, ethics, classics, music history, musicology or art history; or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one or combination of the following areas: humanities, literature, philosophy, religion, ethics, classics, music history, musicology or art history.

SPEECH:

Requires a Master’s degree in Speech or Communication or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in speech or communications.

PSYCHOLOGY:

Requires a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related/applied subfield, or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours Psychology or a related/applied subfield.

POLITICAL SCIENCE:

Requires a Master’s degree in Political Science or in a closely related area with at least 18 graduate hours in political science, comparative politics, or international relations.

HISTORY:

Requires a Master’s degree in history, or a master’s degree in a closely related area with at least 18 graduate hours in history.
