Job Description



The company is looking for a strong Accountant that could assist with the Accounting, Inventory, Internal Controls and Financial Operations. This position will report directly to the Controller, and would be responsible for properly executing aspects of the company's financial design. We are currently seeking candidates with experienced Accounting backgrounds.


Maintain the daily transaction entry and reconciliation utilizing the company's QuickBooks Enterprise Software provide monthly detail to the Senior Accountant for General Journal entries; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.

Maintain Purchase Order Processing system.

Manage Credit card applications and charges.

Process Accounts Payable paperwork at completion of the check run.

Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Finance/Accounting Department.

Prepare labels and maintain files as needed within the department.

Prepare correspondence as needed within the department.

Assist Senior Accountant with payroll system and payroll related items.

Manage petty cash account.

Assist the Controller in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies (except Employee Benefits, which are maintained by the HR Department).

Assist the Controller with facility support and security issues.

Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time - quite often on short notice - by the Controller or Senior Accountant.

Prepare and Post Journal Entries.

Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.

Prepare reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center.

Analyze total Corporate expenses, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.

Assist Corporate Accounting Supervisor in preparing Corporate forecast by cost center.

Invoice other related entity locations for intercompany charges.

Correspond with other Corporate departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.

Ad Hoc analyses as needed.

Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and be adept at explaining results

Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology;

Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs;

Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts;

Maintain or examine the records of government agencies;

Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;


Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.

Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.

Must have a strong working Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must have very good verbal skills.

Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

Ability to thrive in a fast passed environment

Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;

Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.


A Bachelors degree in Accounting, or Business with emphasis in accounting, is desirable.

Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting is required
