Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin in August 2018. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for teaching courses, research, student academic advising, and participation in college-wide academic initiatives.
Key responsibilities in our ACS-accredited program include teaching physical chemistry, general chemistry, and related labs in ways that support an inclusive learning environment for students. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program involving undergraduate students. Completion of a Ph.D. in physical chemistry or a closely related discipline is required. Post-doctoral research and prior teaching experience are preferred, as is experience with environmental or green chemistry.
