RESEARCH STUDY ASSISTANT, School of Medicine, Pulmonary Center (9058/J0217)
Research Study Assistant (RA) needed for a randomized clinical trial of prenatal vitamin D supplementation to prevent asthma and allergy in the children of the enrolled women. The Research Study Assistant will be expected to conduct clinic and home visits throughout Boston and surrounding area. Clinic visits will entail implementation of protocol activities such as questionnaire administration, anthropometric measurements, Pulmonary Function Tests and bronchodilator administration, all of which will require on site certification. The incumbent will collaborate with the study laboratory to coordinate sample collection and shipments that will also require additional certification. Apart from subject visits and sample handling, the Research Study Assistant will also assist with scheduling, participant tracking and data entry/management.
This is a grant funded position.
1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree required. Bilingual (Spanish) is a requirement. Valid drivers license is preferred, as position requires frequent travel with equipment.
We are looking for an individual with interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. This person must be organized, have a great work ethic and should be able to work independently and in a team setting. This person must be comfortable working with children between the ages of 6-8.
