The Department of Housing and Residence Life at the University of North Texas is a growing organization which serves nearly 6,300 students in 15 residence halls. Our department is organized into the following areas: housing operations, residence life, and financial administration. Job Description
The Housing and Residence Life Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Associate Director of Residential Facilities (Facilities Manager) to join our team.

This position serves as a member of the leadership team of housing and residence life. It is the primary facility management position, providing oversight to all of the residence hall physical structures functions of housing and residence life. This position is responsible for management of the housekeeping functions, facility assistant program, renovation and renewal process, new construction, and related asset management. This position will provide subject matter expertise regarding facility management for all departmental planning and decision making.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Supervise the assistant director for building services and other staff to manage facility operations - including housekeeping, the facility assistant program and hall renovations and renewals.
* Oversee daily office operations of housing facilities: develop sustainable office protocol and practices, assure compliance with UNT systems and agencies, provide stewardship of department physical resources, manage assets and develop and improve systems.
* Assist the senior director of housing and residence life with evaluation and decision making of processes and practices to best support the maintenance and enhancement of residential facilities.
* Assist the associate vice president of student affairs with facility project management for auxiliary services.
* Develop and implement systems and schedules to manage equipment and furnishings, as well as renovations and renewals in the residence halls.
* Serve as the liaison between the department and other campus and system agencies - facilities, risk management, university police, system construction, etc.
* Participate in university committees and represent the department as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and six years of related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:


* Residence hall experience, custodial services management experience, and/or facility staff management.
