This position is responsible for providing complex administrative assistance to the Nuclear Medicine Section in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. This position serves as the administrative assistant to the Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine and the clinical translational molecular imaging program. This position also serves as the administrative assistant for four nuclear medicine clinical faculty, one PET/CT and molecular imaging fellow, and four PhD faculty that support the translational imaging program. The clinical faculty is located at the UW Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) building, and the translational imaging program is located at the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR), an adjacent and attached building to UWHC. This position will work at both locations, and it is anticipated that 4 days per week will be at the UWHC location, and 1 day per week will be at the WIMR location. This position performs the full range of medical program support activities and is responsible for responding to questions related to the physicians' medical specialty. This position must function independently and exercise initiative, judgment and discretion in managing and preparing the complex in-clinic schedules and coordinating this with the clinical translational program that will be housed in WIMR Tower II.
This position must function with a wide knowledge of the structure and overall activities of the Department of Radiology to efficiently facilitate administrative responsibilities. This position is of considerable difficulty and complexity, requiring extensive knowledge of computer and technical skills.
Regular hours - Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 4:30, but can be flexible.
