Online Section Adjunct Instructor
Job Summary/Basic Function
Maryville University is accepting applications for Online Section Adjunct Instructors to teach in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to instructing the course and assisting students in achievement of course objectives; moderating and guiding student interaction in course-related work groups and discussion forums; scheduling online office hours.
Applications are being accepted from candidates who have both teaching and industry experience working in the following fields:
NURS 640 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Diagnosis and Management I
NURS 641 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Practicum I
NURS 642 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Diagnosis and Management II
NURS 643 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Practicum II
NURS 644 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Diagnosis and Management III
NURS 645 - Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Practicum III
Master's of Science in Nursing
Currently Practicing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of two years' experience working in the specific field.
Demonstrated ability to coach and assist students in achieving their academic goals.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Terminal Degree in related field
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and Nursing license from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oregon or Washington.
