The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Science. All areas of Computer Science will be considered. The College of Engineering and Applied Science at UCCS is nationally ranked and offers degrees at the Bachelors, Masters, and PhD levels. The successful candidate in this position will be expected to perform research in one or more areas of Computer Science and to develop a strong, externally funded research program; teach lower level undergraduate classes and one or more upper level/beginning graduate classes in the MS program such as Algorithms, Automata, Architecture, Operating Systems and Computer Communications and in his/her area of expertise and also to teach at the PhD level; and perform service to the department, college and profession. Candidate materials should provide evidence of a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to have the potential to be an outstanding researcher who will develop a strong externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise. The candidate is also expected to teach undergraduate and existing graduate classes as required by the department, in addition to developing his/her own graduate-level special topics courses.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

The candidate must hold, before August 10, 2018, a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
