  • Provides leadership and management expertise to comprehensively serve the multifaceted needs of students studying and interning abroad.
  • Manages the flow of communication between students, the Center for Global Education, other offices at Marymount, faculty, academic advisors, and international partners.
  • Provides leadership in marketing and outreach for study abroad programs to maximize student enrollment and retention.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience;
  • Knowledge of and experience with academic program development and implementation;
  • Experience developing and administering budgets;
  • Ability to work with faculty students, administrators, as well as overseas service providers;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to set goals and complete projects with a high degree of independence;
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office;
  • Good knowledge of use of technology in program administration,
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Knowledgeable about the use of social media in study abroad.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Student Affairs, College Student Development, International Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field
  • Knowledge of one or more languages other than English preferred;
  • Prior Experience living, working, or studying abroad preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social Media applications
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Web design experience

Responsibility / Duty

  • Markets global education opportunities to students by developing and carrying out a variety of workshops, class presentations, study abroad fairs, and social media campaigns.
  • Independently updates and enhances the content of the entire CGE website, while maintaining current knowledge of best practices in website and social media marketing.

Responsibility / Duty

  • Provides one-on-one advising to students in all aspects of global education, taking into consideration their academic, professional and personal goals.
  • Maintains all student study abroad records and information, collecting feedback from students via assessment at all stages of the advising process to ensure overall quality of service.

Responsibility / Duty

  • Serve as key collaborator with the University community, liaising with multiple constituents including other offices on campus, administrators, partners, staff , and faculty to promote awareness of MU's programs and services, maintain scholarship resources, and advance international education at Marymount in general.
  • Oversee office collaborations with various student groups and student workers to provide peer support for MU students.

Communicate with financial aid, cashier, registrar, college coordinators, housing & dining, departments and schools, program partners, parents, and other third parties as required.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with international partners and institutions;
  • Evaluates partner and institutional relationships continuously to ensure the quality and relevance of their programming to Marymount student needs/interests

Maintains and grows the reputation of the Center for Global Education and ensures best practices in international education at Marymount University by presenting and/or participating in local, national, and international professional development conferences on a yearly basis.

Supervises 3-4 student workers at a time, assigning projects to increase campus awareness of Center for Global Education ( CGE ) office programs and services.

Responsibility / Duty

  • Provides ongoing support to students before, during and after their study abroad experience. Develops and independently leads all pre-departure orientations and re-entry services for students studying or interning abroad.
  • Regularly updates and enhances comprehensive pre-departure handbook for students
