Assistant Professor - Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering
The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering (ECEE) at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks candidates for up to two tenure-track faculty positions beginning August 2018. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials may be considered for Associate or Full Professor.
We are searching for innovative and collaborative researchers and educators that will contribute in one or more of our department's strong research areas. Qualified candidates in all areas of ECEE will be considered with priority areas including dynamics and control as well as statistical machine learning (with application to network science and data analysis), and computer engineering (with a focus on security, computer-aided verification, applied cryptography, and networking). Candidates with meaningful experiences in other areas of electrical, computer, and energy engineering will be considered. Candidates that bridge disciplines, have synergistic interests with existing faculty, or bring unique capabilities are encouraged to highlight these in their application materials.
The department includes 2 University Distinguished Professors, 16 Full, 8 Associate, and 11 Assistant Professors. Faculty honors include 14 IEEE Fellows, 2 members of the US National Academy of Engineering, a NSF Presidential Faculty Fellow and 10 NSF CAREER Award recipients. The ECEE program consists of about 457 undergraduate and 300 graduate students, and has averaged over $11.1 million in annual research grants. The department maintains close ties with local industry and national institutes/labs such as NIST, NREL, and NOAA.
