The Department of Family Medicine has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Farley Health Policy Center Coordinator (Business Services Professional) position.

Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families. Functions include institutional research, statistical analysis, policy development and review, strategic planning and broad unit business operations such as parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare services, real estate and property management, retail services or job responsibilities that combine fiscal, HR and operational management responsibilities.
Professionals at the intermediate level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.
At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.
The Eugene S. Farley Health Policy Center develops and translates evidence to advance policy for integrated strategies that overcome fragmented health delivery systems and address health of the whole person. This position provides executive-level support to the Eugene S. Farley Health Policy Center and its faculty, this includes prioritizing duties and balancing the needs of the faculty supported to ensure an efficient administrative service delivery system and adherence to program guidelines. Independently manages projects and assignments, and facilitates communication between external entities and Center partners. Helps to identify projects that may not be on track or for which due dates are approaching. Sends reminders, schedules meeting to address issues, takes initiative to implement processes to prevent compromised customer service or missed deadlines. Improves program operational efficiency through organization, increased communication, dissemination of information, application of work standards, and tracking mechanisms. Responsible for oversight of procurement and purchasing as well as financial reporting for various programs. Manages tasks dealing with procurement, purchasing, reimbursements, and payments to grantees and subcontractors, and financial reporting. Assists in drafting and proofing correspondence, presentations and reports, identifying typographical errors, inconsistencies, misspellings, tone issues, and discrepancies with other data sources. Responsible for scheduling meetings, calendar coordination and event management, as well as coordinating travel for Center faculty.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position has been established at $40,000 - $45,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and (1) year project management experience.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis, but not the specific experience.
- Experience working with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- One (1) of experience providing executive-level support to multiple parties in a healthcare, policy or higher education setting.
- Experience with grant preparation/coordination.
- Experience with website design/maintenance.
- Experience with EndNote.
