Job Description Summary

Consultants are responsible for student tutoring administered by the Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus
Writing Center.



Job Responsibilities

Consultants are responsible for student tutoring administered by the Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus
Writing Center.

Teaching and tutoring in a one-on-one setting are integral to the position, although there is no requirement for teaching beyond the duties of the Writing Center.



Required Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university (English degrees preferred)

Demonstrated writing consultation experience in a tutorial or instructional setting

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work a combination of
days/evenings/weekends

Belief in the value of working and learning in a diverse environment

Experience working with community college students

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the missions Cuyahoga Community College and the Western Campus Writing Center

Demonstrated ability to collaborate or facilitate interdisciplinary writing
