Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting laboratory tests, experiments and determination in support of Duke University research operations.

Work Performed
  • Conduct basic molecular biology and genetics experiments, manage transgenic mutant mice including breeding and genotyping.
  • Order basic laboratory supplies and maintain routine lab equipment and working environments.
  • Assist post docs or laboratory staff with particular experiments.
  • Supervise undergraduate students for lab experiments as needed.
  • Assist PI with managing basic operation of laboratory.
  • Maintain lab website.

Strongly preferred qualifications/experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in molecular biology and mouse genetics is preferred.

Skills: Good bookkeeping skills, and organization skills are required. Proficiency in English
