Required Qualifications and Education:
Candidates must have their Ph.D. in physics or closely related field in August 31, 2018. Must have a demonstrated commitment to excellent undergraduate education and enthusiasm for teaching across the curriculum. Position to begin August 2018.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Any theoretical/computational physics area that will strengthen existing and/or broaden research activities in the department will be considered. The department is seeking to fill this faculty position with a strong preference for those in the fields of Theoretical and Computational Physics, but exceptional candidates in other areas will be considered. Candidates should also have a clear plan for an active research program involving undergraduate physics majors, and should expect to participate in the service needs of the department.
Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
Teaching introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses, fulfilling service obligations to the department and the university, and involving undergraduate students in independent research projects. They should also have a clear plan for an active research program involving undergraduate physics majors, and should expect to participate in the service needs of the department.
