Job Description:

An adjunct faculty member is needed to teach for the Bunker Hill Community College Early College program at Charlestown High School. This program will enable students to be dual enrolled in Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Business Administration courses. Applicants should be prepared to teach BHCC courses on site at Charlestown High School and have a work schedule that is flexible enough to follow the Boston Public Schools academic calendar.

Adjunct faculty is needed to teach the following course (Monday through Friday) at Charlestown High School. Candidates must have day time availability.

MAN 105 - Principles of Marketing
This course covers the study of the basic principles of marketing and the application of these principles in today's changing competitive environment. The focus of this course is on the behavior of the consumer market and the product, pricing, promotion and distribution decisions employed to create consumer satisfaction.


  • Openness to teaching using Project Based Learning (PBL)
  • Master's Degree in Business or relevant field of study
  • Openness to teaching a Learning Communities. BHCC Learning Communities provide students with the opportunity to learn in a supportive and engaging environment that enables stronger relationships among students, faculty, and staff. Students participating in Learning Communities benefit from interdisciplinary learning experiences, teacher to student mentoring, peer mentoring, and integrated support services.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • A successful candidate will undergo a CORI and SORI screening

Candidates must have day time availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Community college teaching experience
  • Teaching experience in a high school setting


Additional Information:

Salary: $1,066.00 per Credit Hour

Effective Date: Spring semester, 2018
