Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Finance (or closely related field) from an AACSB accredited program in hand by the start of the Fall 2018 semester and must provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and strong research potential.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Applicants must have earned at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of Finance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at teaching a diverse student body is desirable, as is the ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.

Scope of Job

The Department of Economics & Finance invites applications for two positions in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2018, pending budget or programmatic approval. All areas of finance will be considered, though concentrations in investments and those who can teach theory of finance may be particularly attractive. The appointments involve teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels (including supervising Ph.D. students). Successful candidates will be expected to be engaged with our students, faculty, and staff along with local and regional business professionals to enhance the effectiveness of our business school. The Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship is AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels and offers a Ph.D. in Business Administration that includes concentrations in Finance, Management, Marketing, and Information Systems.
