Director of Integrated Marketing Communications and Media
Central College seeks a dynamic, goal-oriented, collaborative, communications leader to serve as director of integrated marketing communications and media, who will interface and connect with external constituencies including prospective students, families, alumni, donors and friends of the college. Emphasizing integration of the work, the successful candidate will lead an energetic team of professionals with roles and responsibilities related to areas such as advertising, public relations, marketing, branding, news, design, web development, media relations, social media and external affairs.
Reporting to the vice president for advancement, this position offers opportunities to promote the college to external audiences, direct the college's comprehensive communication strategies on multiple platforms for external constituencies, and advance institutional priorities. Central has initiated a new strategic planning process for 2018 while simultaneously completing the goals of the very successful 2012 strategic plan, which currently guides the college's communication priorities and strategies.
This position represents part of a cross-functional team of communication professionals and works closely with advancement and enrollment team members and college leadership. The successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to work both cooperatively and independently; will have expertise in written word, oral presentation and strategic thinking; will demonstrate excellent organization and prioritization skills; will possess positive and effective management skills; and will have the capacity to work collaboratively with key personnel at the college and also the larger Central family.
