Workforce & Economic Development Coordinator
Collaborating and problem solving with external and internal customers frequently, provide project management, contract training fulfillment coordination, continuing education offering coordination, including maintaining appropriate data in multiple information systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as intake point of contact for contract services, technical assistance and continuing education.
Serve as the link between business partners and agencies along with the Manager, Workforce Development; Manager, Continuing Education; and Vice President, Workforce & Economic Development.
Manage customer project status to include proposal, work order, execution, billing, and evaluation.
Manage contract database, contract modifications, out of district documentation, etc.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure successful experience for business clients and students to include scheduling training, ensuring contract documents are in order, etc.
Participate in grant-funded contracts through researching courses, grant billings, budget status, reporting, etc.
Procure instructional material. Ensure relevant and quality of handouts, book orders, presentations, facility set up, AV needs, etc.
Register students, ensure student grades are entered and certificates provided, etc.
Develop and maintain instructor database (content matter experts, schedule, loading opportunities) and onboard new training faculty.
Collaborate with workforce and economic development team to research, plan, develop, and assist in executing sales and marketing strategies.
Participate in WATG application development, budget development, implementation, and evaluation. Work with client specialists and grants team to develop and evaluate outcomes.
Create and maintain reports relevant to divisional outcomes such as sales, margins, new clients served, etc.
Communicate with Mid-State instructional schools and regional campuses regarding contract training, technical assistance projects, and continuing educations offerings.
Support the Vice President, Workforce & Economic Development on special projects.
Provide accounts receivable oversight and customer collections when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communication, finance, or related field from a regionally accredited institution required.
Minimum of two years of professional experience which includes budget and contract experience.
Experience in educational contract training preferred.
Experience in PeopleSoft or similar Enterprise System.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
