Assistant Professor of Social Work

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work faculty position in the Department of Social Work and Human Services, WellStar College of Health and Human Services.

Position Responsibilities:

The faculty member will primarily teach courses in the Master of Social Work Program, and some additional courses in the undergraduate Human Services Program. Experience in clinical practice is required. Teaching experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should have a beginning research agenda with evidence of success in publication. A clinical license in social work from the state of Georgia (L.C.S.W.) or equivalent from another state is required. It is strongly recommended that the candidate obtain Georgia licensure as an L.C.S.W. after hire.

This is a tenure-track position, operating under a nine-month contract.

Required Education, qualifications, and experience:

The qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in Social Work or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent. The Ph.D. must be conferred at the time of submission. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.

Applicants for this position must have an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program (or a foreign equivalency approved by CSWE), and a minimum of 5-years post-MSW direct practice experience.
