Manages the Business Operations team responsible for development, design, management and operations of business systems and processes that support the University Procurement and Business Service (PBS) organization. Oversees team responsible for maintaining University eProcurement, bidding and p-card systems as well as integrations between various systems and the University ERP (PSFT) system. Responsible for developing and leading customer service interfaces for the PBS team to include website and helpdesk functions.
System Administration: Directs and manages administration of a virtual, server-based, supplier-hosted enterprise e-procurement and bidding systems/tools for over 3,500 university users and 20,000 suppliers/bidders. Installs, maintains, updates, and troubleshoots tools training, development and production environment changes. Conducts analyses of current systems, functions and operations and recommends policy related to technology use. 40% - Essential
Technical Support and Customer Service: Directs and manages Customer Service function for PBS team. Assists PBS team with Helpdesk tickets. Responds to user requests and provide outstanding customer service to staff of all levels. Ensures Business Operations team is responsive and effective in resolving users' problems. Performs escalation to team leaders after providing level I & II support. Log all incidents and provide trending for incorporation into training. 25% - Essential
Process and Documentation: Responsible for ensuring operations adhere to all university standards in an audited environment. Performs routine audits of systems and software. Updates all IT documentation to include training program. Maintains strong relationships with tool provider, university IT, utilities, business systems, internal audit, HR, & procurement staffs. 20% - Essential
Staff Supervision: Provides direction and oversight to work of current team of two Business Operations team members. Ensures priorities align with strategic direction of the PBS team. 15% - Essential
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
Manages Work of Others - Manages work of others including hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Plans organizational structure and job content.
Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.
