Join the Stanford School of Medicine Human Resources team in leading and changing medicine as we know it today. We are looking for an energetic self-starter who wants to make contributions to our Talent Management Office by assessing school-wide talent development needs, and developing strategies and programs to address those needs. Our Talent Management Office is responsible for talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, performance management, and workforce, development and succession planning within a dynamic and fluid environment.

We are seeking a Talent Development Program Manager, reporting to the Director of Talent Management Strategies. This newly created position will have a key role in developing and aligning talent programs with both the department and School's strategic objectives. This is an opportunity to utilize functional expertise, innovation, and creativity to help build foundational talent programs to enrich the School's administrative, research, and clinical staff employee population and help position the School for success in a period of growth. The School of Medicine is a decentralized and highly matrixed organization. Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience


  • Demonstrated ability to establish a strong partnership with the senior human resources partners and other members of the management team.
  • Deep expertise and experience developing and implementing effective talent management solutions, including workforce planning, learning and development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong instructional/curriculum design skills and experience.
  • Strong program/project management skills and experience.
  • Ability to build the confidence of others through open communication and respectful behavior.
  • Ability to connect with customers, partners, suppliers, and colleagues across functions to achieve significant results.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    • Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone, and grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
    • Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
    • Rarely kneel/crawl, operate foot and/or hand controls.
